Family life can be hard and challenging for many parents. Loneliness, relationship breakdown, bereavement, physical and mental illness or even multiple births can have a profound effect on families.
With your help, Home-Start can be there to help parents cope, to help them towards independence and a better future.
Current Funding
Home-Start depends heavily on donations from companies, charitable trusts and people like you to fund our work with parents and children. Everyone needs help at some time in their life...so go on, help us to make a difference to a child's life today.
The need for funds has never been more acute. The generosity of our regular supporters has been challenged with the poor economic circumstances. The subsequent fall off of income has been harsh and immediate. It is also greater than our capacity to fundraise to back-fill the gap so we urgently require funding to prevent a irrecoverable reduction in our existing services to those who need us most across the Waverley district of Surrey.
Accordingly funds are required urgently to cover the direct costs of recruiting and managing home visiting volunteers acorss the Waverley disctrict of Surrey, England. If you are in a positon to help or introduce us to someone who can help, please contact us. We will be very grateful.
Good Value
The cost of supporting a family is £1500. A child in care costs the taxpayer £32,000 so the business case is clear. Home Start will roll out the service to other parts of Waverley in line with available funds. Please contact us if you can help with a donation or with some support to secure a donation.
